As a printmaker, I have come to accept the use of the computer as a valuable tool, as valuable indeed as a burin, or an exposure unit,  continuing a long tradition of utilizing contemporary implements in the production of imagery.

The tool we use to create, must make an impact on the image produced, however that tool should be subservient to the image and therefore, creating a digital image which could (within reason) be brought into being by other means i.e. lithography, etching, painting, etc. would make the choice of medium loose its integrity.

It is the retaining of this integrity I strive for in my large scale digital works.

It has been a long struggle, justifying this choice, the traditionalist in me at war with the adventurer, but I had arrived at the point in my personal development of deciding whether I would allow the medium to direct me, that is to say, should I plan my images taking into consideration  vacuum-bed seize, production price, personal physical ability, and social acceptance, achievable through Silkscreen and thereby compromise the images I wanted to produce, or should I follow my instinct which is to increase, not only the dimensions, but also the complexities of those images and the information I could include in each piece.

My digital prints are available from 100 cms +, but are only reproduced in editions of 15, irrespective of the format, with the exception of books.
